Digital Safeguarding/E-Safety
Online safety is very important both at home and at school.
This page contains various links to online safety information for parents.
Permission is sought from parents before children can access the Internet at school and both parents and children are required to agree to a code of practice to ensure safe use of the internet. We encourage all pupils to be SMART when using technology and accessing anything on the internet. This is reinforced through our computing programme and school assemblies.
We highly recommend that parents spend time exploring the following websites:
Childnet — Online safety for young people
Keeping children safe online | NSPCC
Keep Children Safe Online: Information, advice, support - Internet Matters
Homepage - UK Safer Internet Centre
Social media guides - UK Safer Internet Centre
Common Sense Media: Age-Based Media Reviews for Families | Common Sense Media
Below is an example of an Internet Safety Day video available through YouTube (there hasn't been an updated video for 2025) - please watch this for further information on Online Safety. There are also many help sheets below to support online safety and digital safeguarding at home.
